This module is part of the CCMA Exam Prep.
Every contract is more than just a legal document. While it establishes rights and obligations which are legally enforceable, it also provides operational and procedural guidance and may act as the foundation for an ongoing relationship. We only enter into contracts because we have a need for something, and the quality of the contract will have a major influence on whether that need is successfully met, or leads to dissatisfaction, a loss of future business and perhaps even costly disputes. Ultimately, we should not forget that a core purpose of any contract is economic – depending on who we are, it is about generating revenue, achieving savings, and protecting assets.
In this module, we'll explore how today's increasingly complex and volatile business environment demands a more strategic approach to contracting.
