GenAI Apprenticing Lab is an interactive, web-based course that teaches acquisition professionals how to build effective, working partnerships with generative AI through a method called reciprocal apprenticing.
Using realistic proposal evaluation scenarios, learners practice a structured approach in which they train AI by providing organizational context, decision logic, and domain expertise- while the AI, in turn, reveals gaps, inconsistencies, and hidden assumptions in the human’s own thinking. This two-way process transforms AI from a tool into a collaborative partner that strengthens both analysis and judgment.
Through a guided progression of concept introduction, interactive case work, rubric calibration, and applied reflection, learners develop a repeatable method for integrating AI into real-world acquisition workflows.
By turning human–AI collaboration into a deliberate practice, GenAI Apprenticing Lab closes a critical capability gap -helping professionals move beyond generic AI use to building tailored, high-value partnerships that improve consistency, clarity, and decision quality in complex contracting environments
