The ban of contractor use of telecommunications and surveillance services and technology manufactured by certain Chinese companies is one of the most significant rules issued by the FAR Council in the last few years. The ban impacts all contractors and contracts without regard to size or what the contractor sells and includes equipment that will not be delivered to the government customer. The presentation will cover all of the rule’s basics, take a deep dive into some of the rule’s nuances, and provide practical compliance and risk mitigation approaches.
